Bastille Day

Last Monday, the French celebrated the annual fest of Bastille Day. I partook in the celebration thousands of miles away in LA by sipping lots of champagne and listening to French songs. Sante', y'all.

Last weekend, we christened our new place by having friends over two day in a row. On the 4th, we had Ladd and Carrie and Pantea over for BBQ and fireworks. Lots of fun, especially since we could catch Marina de Rey's fireworks right from our place. On Saturday, the 5th, my friend from childhood, Mitra and her husband Hamid came over with their two boys, Roozbeh and Aydean. After lunch we caught the shuttle to the beach for an afternoon of sun, sand and fun. Here are some photos of our Saturday.
